Bhaktaprasad Bhyaguto is a young frog just out of his tadpole teens', who charts his way from Kathmandu valley to travel through the hills and plains of Nepal . Along the way, he discovers the geographical and demographic diversity of the country, overcomes several challenges, makes friends with a host of anthropomorphized creatures, and gains an understanding of both his country and, in the end, himself. Bhaktaprasad Bhyaguto is a wonderful chapter book that allows children to learn the mechanics of language development. Characters in this book are realistic and developed wonderfully.

This book is about friendship, about duty, about enjoyment and about ambition. A young child learns vocabulary related to kite flying. As it is written in narrative verse, children find it very easy to remember and recite. The book introduces children to the art form of collage.
