The Launching of the Deilekh School Project is followed by continuous meaningful activities. Several activities geared towards the strengthening of the DSP is happening at the Foundation at this moment.
- The first activity is to train a group of 12 Field Officers who have been hired six months ago for the Dailekh School Project. They form the backbone of the program, and will be supporting and supervising anywhere from 32 to 40 schools. They will work in close collaboration with the District Educaiton Office, and with the Program Officer of the DSP.
- The second activity is another training, this time it is the training of teachers. 34 schools from all over Dailekh have selected teachers, and two to three teachers come from each resource center. After training, 24 teachers will be helping conduct the three week training (STTPT) for all the teachers in Dailekh.
- The third activity that is ongoing is the preparation of training material for the three week trainig. The curriculum, lesson plans, reading material as well as training material is being readied. The material is being readied for printing.
- Preparation for the Training of Trainers. Master trainers will be prepared immediately after Tihar so that the packages will be delivered in the best possible manner.
- Preparation of the Resource-Centers and ensuring that cohorts of 12 are created so that there is efficient use of time and resources.
- Ground work in Dailekh in order to prepare for the training of 1900 teachers, for the training of 2300 youth and for the development of model schools.
